The writer has sought in his life to pursue and humbly serve the following VALUES in hierarchical order:

• Scientific truth and its anthropocentric contribution...
• The values of culture, democracy, human civilization and the environmental health in which these develops.
• My home country, Greece, non in parochial terms, but diachronically as a figure, bearing the above values.

For what concerns the first point, I confirm out of intellectual honesty that based on my past experience, and on the work of many other colleagues who have studied cold fusion or “nuclear reactions in the solid-state” after 1989, aiming primarily to demonstrate the existence of the phenomenon and its reproducibility, it was poor in all of us. From the moment I converted, leaving the electrolytic load and opting for a more clean system, i.e. a load of hydrogen gas on nickel (research done also in parallel with S. Focardi and others), we were convinced that the phenomenon of nuclear fusion in the solid-state was a scientific fact but nothing more. The production of excess energy remained very low, although the reproducibility of the phenomenon was gradually improved... The hitherto unique method that overcomes the above- mentioned problems and that makes nuclear reactions in the solid-state, exploitable industrially is that of Mr. ANDREA ROSSI in close collaboration with Prof. SERGIO FOCARDI. A landmark event both for the prospect of gradual satisfaction of the energy needs in the world and for the potential barrier that keeps us from the point of no return on climate change on the planet...

I witnessed and participated in part to the numerous tests and measurements, all performed with success in Bologna, Italy, the one described in my informal report to the Greek government (7 July 2011) not being the last.

In the presence of Mr. Rossi, Prof. Focardi, Dr. Bianchini, the writer, we found, as besides in all the other tests, the absence of radioactivity (a slight increase within the allowed limits, measured by Dr. Bianchini) and the production of thermal energy of 10.6 kWh/h, largely self-sustained. The numerical calculation made by Mr. Rossi, coincides perfectly and is in perfect agreement with my analytical calculation (through a special computer program) that rigorously evaluates the fundamental function of enthalpy with general validity.

Because my interest is and remains mainly scientific, and due to my contribution to politically and commercially encourage the transfer of Rossi’s technology in Greece – my home country as I said earlier – I obviously regret this breach of purely financial origin...

With the firm belief that who has given (us) this epochal technology deserves absolute respect and consideration, I am comforted by my trait to always with optimism see the forest and not the individual tree...
